Hello,

I am wondering if someone could help me understand 3rd Nephi chapter 11 verses 38-40. It appears that Christ is teaching that Repentance, Baptism and becoming as a child is the "doctrine" and that more or less is evil.

How does this fit with the additional doctrines taught in Mormonism (temples etc.). Any FLAK on this would be greatly appreciated!

"Becoming as a child" entails submitting to the Father and accepting whatever other doctrines the prophets teach, even if it's called "folklore" or "assumptions" 50 years later.
