...my nieces and nephews?

I have, so far, with those who have expressed an interest. None of the ones I've talked to are active now. Some were already leaning that way, some of them didn't have doubts before but were curious. (All adults, by the way)

At least one of my siblings has specifically asked me not to talk to her children about anything church related. I told her I could only promise her that I would not initiate such a conversation, but that I would honestly answer any question I was asked.

So how bad does that make me?

I guess it depends on the age of your nieces/nephews, but since they are adults, I think you have every right to answer their questions as you see fit. Would your siblings have any problems talking to your kids (if you have any) about their own religious beliefs?

I've had a couple of the younger ones ask, I just tell them to talk to their parents about it. My sibs have shown that they have no reservations about talking to my kids, including my 8 yr old daughter. I don't have a problem with this at all, since it gives me a chance to talk to my kids about it. The evidence wins, every time.
