Further Light and Knowledge

Have any of you gotten on to this website yet? It's a pretty cool site where you can 'pin' images from around the web for inspiration, ideas, information. (Holy alliteration, batman)

For some reason, Mormons are especially into this - the main board is almost always at least 10% Mormon stuff. Maybe because they can pin all of the stuff that they wish they could do if they had the time.

But there are also the lesson prep boards that get stuff pinned to them. This morning I nearly went nuclear at a handout that my cousin pinned that she is so excited to hand out to her Young Women. I repinned it to my 'This is shitty' board here:

It just brought back all of the memories of when I was a teenager and struggling with all of my strength with a brain that seemed to be failing me. I was always sad, depressed, dealing with OCD, confused, wanting to be alone. And when I went to YW I was always told that if I had the spirit I wouldn't feel these things. So my shitty stuff I was dealing with was because I was a shitty person. Do you have any idea what that does to a teenaged girl? Damn. It's messed up.

What seems so hilarious is the gal that's happy has what seems to be a spaghetti strap top on!

But seriously, that is a lousy handout, especially for someone who does have depression and self-esteem issues as a teenager.
