This link is ALL over my FB feed. So I finally went and read it.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/danielle-tumminio/inside-a-mormon-temple-a-female-episcopal-priest-visits_b_1430206.html

I wonder if the TBM's wonder about the following:

1. A female priest huh? Cool. And she is saying some pretty complimentary stuff about our religion. I wonder how she became a female priest? What kind of religion allows the wimmen to be priests? Oh, well, she sounds intelligent and is saying nice things about mormons, so who cares.

2. She is clearly taking the "allowed" tour.. complete with blue covers for her shoes. She sees all the decorations and even gets to meander through the celestial room sans a green apron, robes, and a veil. In there, she experiences peace and quiet and feels a spiritual feeling. Aha! Mormonism is TRUE! Even the Female Episcopalian Priest can feel it. Um, could it be that there is very little calm, peace and quiet much anywhere else? How would she feel if she saw what the 'patrons' looked like when the temple is actually in session?

3. She never ever mentions washings/annointings, special tokens, robes, veils, or mandatory underwear. Why? Because no one dares tell this to the Female Episcopalian Priest. I'm guessing her article would be colored quite a bit different if she was shown that portion of the temple. Indeed, if she were to even take a gander at the veil with all of it's funky holes to communicate with Elohim himself, I have a feeling her article may have even been an incredulous one.

Aw, but let's not think about that! Let's all get the warm fuzzies because not just any priest, but a Female Episcopalian Priest went on one of our deceptive temple tours and wrote a nice article about it.

4. She never mentions the primitive mind control tactic of having satan look you in the face, warning everyone they will be in his power if they do not walk up to every covenant they make at those altars in that temple that day and then they immediately swear before god, angels and those witnesses that they will give everything they have, time, talents and energies and all that they will have to the organization.

When not-Michael Ballam Satan says that to me, I think, "Oh baby, I already am."

I just wanna say...I love Episcopalians. I doubt that many of the temple workers or GAs for that matter have ever attended an Episcopalian service, but the emphasis is definitely on inclusiveness. I have a special soft spot for John S Spong, who (after years of inactivity in the LDS church) made a special effort to invite me to a church service that he was officiating. I didn't have to be 'worthy' to sit at the table and take communion with them. Nobody checked to see whether I had a piece of paper certifying that I didn't masturbate.

Maybe the Episcopalian love-bomb is actually a quite good way to recruit people who are fed up with the OTT rigidity and group-think of Mormonism, but don't want to defect to full-on UU'ism or drop the idea of God, altogether...
