As most of you have probably noticed, the CALM group that has ongoing events in Utah Valley has regular posts here on FLAK announcing what's coming up on their schedule. Up to this point, I've been giving them Stickies to make them more prominent to people who want to meet up with other Utah folks and keep up to date on the various meet-ups.

However, I'm worried that having too many stickies for announcements just clutters up The Foyer, and wanted your feedback on what you think should be done with such regular announcements. (Specific-date events I think are fine for The Foyer as I'll unsticky them after the date has passed.)

Could we have a special forum for Real Life Meeting Announcements?

I like that idea (the separate forum). We host a monthly meeting here in our area for ex-mormons, too...I wouldn't mind announcing it but I never wanted to feel like I was intruding or overstepping the bounds. A separate forum for that kind of thing would be great.

Just my 2 cents. :)

I agree, since we have a monthly Houston meeting, too. A separate forum for gatherings and get-togethers would be great.

ETA: We could call it, "Where two or three are gathered together..."

I voted other - I like the idea of having a separate forum for IRL gatherings.

I think it is wise to have an alternate forum for it, Sol. It kind of keeps it out of the way from prying, busybody eyeballs. Not that I am paranoid or anything.

;)

Big green hugs,
