All:

In the interest of aesthetics, you'll all notice that now your avatars are going to look a little weird or they might be missing altogether. This is because the avatars have all be random sizes. We have changed this.

All avatars are not restricted to 100 x 100 pixel, which is pretty standard for bulletin boards.

To help with this transition, I'm happy to help where I can. For those that don't know how to resize their avatars to meet the required sizes, send me a PM and I'll do it for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

If Joseph Smith had been a true prophet, his avatar would be 101 x 101

Hey, I just want to complain that this sucks. It's impossible to get EXACTLY 100 x 100 unless you're some goddamn PS genius. And I'm not. I'm all pissy about this -- why can't we just do what we've always done, which is put an outside limit on size, but not an EXACT SIZE REQUIREMENT. Jesus, that is all against our vibe around here.

I'm CRANKY coz I can't get the fucking technology to work and it's much harder than it needs to be. Please let us have diversity in our avatars again. WE ARE NOT HERE FOR AESTHETICS FFS.

Thank you for listening to my rant. Good day, sir.

Use Gimp

It's free, fairly easy to use and will allow you to create any size image you want - exactly.

Sorry, Wry, my dear.

I would much prefer that we be able to have a little bit of a larger size for avatars, then have the engine force the size to what we set it to. But I haven't found any code that will allow us to do this and I am not enough of a code monkey to sit down and crank it out.

In the mean time, if you need your avatar resized, I'm happy do to do it and attach it for you since I have special abilities to do such.
