Further Light and Knowledge

Hey, guess I should introduce myself.

50 years old. Female. Married with two kids. Left church in 2001, resigned in 2003, as a family.

BYU grad. Endowed in 1988. Lots of mo relatives.

Finally figured out that I will never be 'normal.' We will always be cultural Mormons, and I'll never understand how regular people think because I was trained so well to be judgmental and 'better than.' It's hard to shake.

Don't really drink anymore--it holds no interest for me. The only really different thing about my life now that I am not in the church is that I have Sundays free...and Mondays through Saturdays as well! And I sometimes shop on Sunday. Drink tons of coffee.

Pretty much the rest is the same.

Coffee? Hell, I was a morning DJ for 8 years on several radio stations. Just try to get up and sound awake at 6AM without coffee! Impossible to do.

Welcome. I, too, love coffee-based bevvies. That Postum cack they made available in the Ricks College cafeteria just didn't do the trick!

I'm a never-endowed-no-mission-late-adolescent-drop-out of Mormonism. I'm envious that your family left with you. I still have parents and sib who are practicing and it makes visiting them quite tricky.
