I am not a complete newbie to the exmo community - been around 2 years or so - but didn't start posting here until today. I hear good things about this forum.

About my nickname. I like languages, especially Latin. Here's what my nickname means.
Quote:
ipso facto is Latin for "by the fact itself." This term is used when something is so obvious that it needs no elaboration or further explanation. For example, it might be said that a blind person, ipso facto, is not qualified to obtain to a driver's license.

I also like the abbreviation.

I hope you like it here and stick around.

(Good luck with the bar.)

Welcome, ipso facto! Apologies for the slow response, we need to extend a calling to someone to replace Br. Hellmut on the welcoming committee. By the way, do you lead music?

Welcome IF! Where did you hear about this board?

And tells us more about yourself!

Big green hugs,

Froggie

Welcome Ipso. I took a year (no, I think it was a semester...) of Latin in high school. I only remember a couple words.

Parwe Puella. Small Girl. Or is it Parva? See? I retained little. I'm certain I just totally hashed the spelling horribly.

Oh, and Equus means horse.

Anyway, glad to have you here. :)
