People keep mentioning Dowd, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and other talking heads.

Am I the only one that doesn't listen to a single one of them?

I do listen to some libertarian podcasts, but the big talking heads don't grab me. They all have a "I'm right and this is how YOU should think and feel" sound in their voices.

I don't even know if Dowd is female or male.

I don't listen to them. Their business is newstertainment and raising the hackles of those who don't see things their way. Inflammatory for a paycheck.

I just find myself a bit lost when people say "did you hear what Dowd said yesterday?".

Add Glen Beck to that list.

Mostly because he rarely opens his mouth but what you hear bullshit come out and his foot go in.

This reminds me--yesterday while at my TBM in-laws' I saw an Ann Coulter book on the coffee table. I picked it up and scanned some pages. She's on par with Limbaugh imo--it was all about how evil "liberals" are. The book was entitled "Godless". I just couldn't believe the idiotic drivel in that book and the justifications for her nonsensical arguments!

So yeah, SR I do know what you mean. :?

What a hateful little witch she is.

She's one Dead-Head that didn't do enough acid.

Yeah, TC, I found a list of her quotes--unfreakinbelievable.

I wonder is she is just playing the crowd or could she actually believe what she says?

I have never read her before yesterday and I don't intend to again, but wow. BTW, witches are nice people. You must have misspelled that time.

;)

Much like Gordon Hinckley, there is little need to debate her. All you have to do is give her a forum and then quote her when she says something as idiotic (and offensive) as that.

I must have. I actually know a few people that are into that mysticism and they are nice people.

Do you think they REALLY believe them though? I think it's all a cynical game to them. They get money, power (of a sort) and notoriety for being calculatedly nasty. As TC said, inflammatory for a paycheck.
