It irritates my kids so much that they were watching a movie with a unicorn and my mother said, "That's the same horse that Gandalf rides in Lord of the Rings." My girls (17 and 25) said, "No Grandma, that's not a horse, that's a unicorn." They just totally gave her shit over it, because they are so tired of her.

What movie has a live action unicorn and is recent enough to have Shadowfax in it?

Have you ever seen the special features on the extended edition of The Two Towers? There's an impressive feature about the horses used in the films...but, um, getting back on topic, that sounds really obnoxious.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?

LOL Sounds like my mom (and kind of like me sometimes). We went to go see A New Hope when it first came out and when the fist sweeping pod race stadium shot was on the screen, her jaw dropped and she cried out. THIS IS BEN HUR!!

DH has done work in the past as an animator so he's a big fan of that genre. I think his criticism in movies is interesting. But I'm not 10 and trying to get immersed in the story either . . .

Fig and I watched it last night. It was hysterical watching him bust a gut at the one dog's voice. :D

I nearly passed out in the theater. It was a cheap trick for laughs, but it totally slew me.

Almost made me laugh up a lung. Dug is my favorite.

Same here, that was the funniest line of the movie. My 3 kids (6, 4, 3) didn't get it at all.
