I just wanted to give a shout out to our new FLAKers from the PoMo persuasion. I don't know if we've ever had so many members join up at one time time since the great Arch/Al Gore kerfuckle of 2006. This is a momentous occasion!

Welcome to Ladyinthehat, Countrygirl, Dutch, coffeenow, jahedgpeth, Bearded Infidel, Cleo Catra, H.I. McDonnough, Android, Dawgma, Kritti, tibber, alis, UnMerry Miss, DoubleX, SID, Rebellious Spirit, skifool, dogbusters, Samping, Peach, Alma the Hiker, and whitendelightsome.

Did I miss anyone? If I did, make sure you let us know who you are!

Most of you posted intros that were awesome. Thanks for helping us get to know you better. I noticed that a couple people hadn't posted intros yet (Dawgma, Dutch, alis) It can be a bit intimidating posting an intro, but maybe a good alternative would be to give a link to one of you kick ass posts back on the PoMo board, so we could get to know you better than way.

It feels kinda like my wife gave birth to quintuplets, how the hell do I integrate everyone all at once! Heh. I like the new company but have to figure out who everyone is.

I think that pretty soon we'll all be like the YouTube laughing quintuplets though, having a great time, as soon as we all get to know each other better. If there are any insiders jokes you can pass along, that definitely will help us all get to know you better. Thanks for giving our little world a chance..

Many thanks for the many welcomes I have received here at FLAK. As per your request, I went back and plucked a thread that pretty much encapsulates my story.

And while I claim to not be my brother's keeper, I'm posting his thread as well.

I actually signed up both here and at post-mo about the same time. I mostly lurk at both places, but check each one out daily. Each board has a different personality, and I like both equally as well. It's fun to see all the new post-mos over here, they are a pretty funny group.

:-D

Thanks UnMerry Miss. Reading about the whole sealing mess with your father being "un-sealed" reminded me of one of my friends who had a very similar story. Her husband was killed in a freak accident, then the First Presidency cancelled his sealing, and sealed her wife to a new guy. I guess the temple sealings should change the wording to "until death do you part" after all. Most active TBMs have no idea that the First Presidency goes around cancelling sealings. Thanks for sharing and its nice to get to know you better.

Dawgma, sorry to hear about that accident on your mission. Wow, what a horrible experience. I'm an ex-Argie misshie, just like Capt. Jack, belaja, Cousin Exmo, and a few others here. That bike accident story & how the leadership handled it really rips at my heartstrings. How the hell do these people keep this thing running, literally? Your old SP sounds like a real bastard. Some of my friends had their son come home early and their SP was a jackass just like the guy you describe. I can't believe he was your own scoutmaster, and Bishop, and still treated you like shit.

Old woman!
Man!
Man. Sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?
I'm 37. I'm not old.
I can't just call you "man".
Well you could say "Dennis".
I didn't know you where called Dennis.
You didn't bother to find out, did you?

Well, I am old, as a few have pointed out. Who the hell cares. Thanks for jumping in TG. Good to see you again too. I just realized that FLAK is a melting pot of sorts, with Nevermos such as yourself, NOMs such as myself, and ExMos of all persuasions. I love how we all co-exist here, even if there is some infighting and squabbling once in a while. Heh.

Thanks for the welcome! I know our little exodus is wreaking a bit of havoc with the status quo but rest assured that we mean no harm. We're here for recovery. Hi, my name is DoubleX and I am powerless over my Mormon programming.

As an expat who sailed in from PoMoland, I am quietly paying attention and making polite and hopefully acceptably humble contributions here. I guess that a strange ship in the harbor does tend to attract some attention.

I have doffed the outer accoutrements of the seafaring type and have adopted the hopefully more accepted persona of a movie character that I feel is very similar in spirit, if not reality to my own self...

Thanks for having me, and I promise there won't be parrotshit all over the place, this time...

Hello All,

I did post an introduction already but it was rather short. If anyone would like more info on my background I have attached a link to one of my posts over at postmo. It was in response to a woman who is having problems with her convert daughter, but it gives the most info that I have offered on my relationship with the church. Please feel free to read it. Or not.
