I apologize in advance for linking to this article, as it is going to cause you some pain. Turn away if you have a weak stomach.

Quote:
The last step was that he "resigned" his membership in the Church, much to the dismay of a still-believing wife. As his marriage lurched towards divorce, he began to lay the guilt trip on his spouse. "How can you say you're committed to families if you won't stand by me?" This is a common argument that Satan uses to bring down the wife. A woman fears that divorce will leave her without support and leave her children fatherless. She reluctantly leaves the Church she has loved and the Lord she has seved.

If you are a woman who has a husband that is placing you in this situation, for the sake of your own salvation and that of your children, it is better to cut the apostate husband loose. As tragic as it may be, it would be more tragic for him to pull you and your children down to hell with him. If he insisted that you and your children remain inside a house that is burning down, would you stay or would you flee for your life and take your children with you?

I think the apostate in question is our own Philo.

Holy mind-boggling shit!

Yes, it's better to leave your spouse, your faithful spouse who has never done a single thing to intentionally hurt you, who is an awesome husband and father, than leave the church.

Because the church trumps all.

Every.single.fucking.time.

This is crazy. This guy is nucking futz. Destroy a cohesive family unit for a church? Take his kids away because he changed belief system? Absolutely if this guy were muslim he would be strapping dynamite to his ass and blowing himself up for his god.

I can't imagine that most TBMs would even agree with this shit.

Turn off your mind. Don't think. Don't learn. Just obey.

Fuck him.

ETA: this is Exhibit #1 on why TSCC is evil.

I clicked the link... :-( DON'T CLICK THE LINK!

What a self-righteous prick!

Once again, Mormonism proves that it's all about family, unless your family doesn't meet their extremely narrow definition of what a family is.

Why. Did. I. Read. That. Brain poison.

And what's this 'hell' he keeps mentioning? I don't recall anything about hell in Mormonism. I thought afterlife (non)living arrangement options consisted of one of three magical kingdoms of glory, rainbows, and unicorns, or some sparsely populated region of dark outerness.

In other words, I Don't Know That We Teach That.

I have little tolerance for anti-intellectualism. Brother SPAM is full of it. The pompous and self-righteously ignorant are beneath contempt. By turning their minds from intellect they have squandered the riches of humanity...

Wow, looks like I owe the Taliban an apology.
Here all this time I thought they were extremists!
At least they don't tell wives to leave their husbands if their husbands wake up and come to their senses.

I would say this guy is a fruitcake, but that would be bearing false witness against fruitcakes. Here's something else he wrote lately on this site:

Quote:
I had a couple of Examiner articles that dealt with the whole partisan political thing. I got hammered by people on both sides, including by members of the Church. The thing I was trying to stress is that Mormons don't have a political "home" on either side. On the right, we've got anti-Mormon Evangelicals that form the base of the Republican party who think we're liberal on abortion and that our religion is a dangerous cult. On the left, we've got an anti-religion movement, gays, radical feminists, Gaia-worshiping environmentalists, and various race-baiting coalitions, all of whom hate Mormons as much as the Evangelicals do.

I think this is a significant time in US and world history because intolerance of the kingdom of God is rampant throughout the political spectrum. The world is teetering on the edge of financial collapse, the United States government could easily go the way of the Weimar Republic and end up in total civil breakdown. Out of that collapse, Zion is going to arise to fill the gap, to provide a "safety and a refuge." The current political polarization is setting up the conditions for the world to oppose Zion when it is established. My "gut" tells me that this is very close. I think it's of paramount importance that members "unplug" from the political parties and simply stand up for truth, no matter who's telling it.

I'm glad you avoided that temptation, I wouldn't want to start offending real fruitcakes on this site or anything!

This man is going against the bible with his rhetoric. But I refuse to become SPAM to point out this little problem of logic in his thinking.

Big green hugs,

That warning was indeed justified.

I think it's insane to compare an apostate husband to a burning building. If the disaffected spouse was getting his kids on heroin and pimping them out as whores, then yeah, I could see the analogy. Some TBM's are just total idiots.

Fuckhiminthemotherfuckingneck. This dude is a piece of shit. Yeah, and while we are at it, you fucktard, why don't those wives who leave men who "fall into apostasy" just become second, third, fourth, etc wives of righteous pricks like yourself. Oh. Wait. Hold the phone. That's already been done and the Feds put an end to it.

Motherfuckers like you, you asshat, are intolerant and unforgiving. Your more of a home-wrecker than a $50 whore picked up in the red-light district of Detroit getting her crack fix.

You, you self-fellating twat monkey, are on par with the cancer known as Shiria Law. You deserve to be drawn and quartered for suggesting a position like this. How dare you suggest that my wife leave me over a subject such as this.

If I could, I'd dust my feet of you by putting my boots to your fucking skull. Oh. Fuck you! I'm really, really pissed after reading this. Piece of fucking shit. Go crawl in a hole and fucking die.
