Further Light and Knowledge

After telling some of the sexist jerks at NOM to fuck off a few weeks ago when they ganged up on a friend, I just thought I would venture over to Flak with my feminist 'tude and see what kind of trouble I can get into on this board.

I've been lurking and it seems like there is a bit more diversity on this board and I appreciate the discourse and *especially* the foul language . NOM is great for some, but a lot of my friends have bailed in recent months, so I guess I might be a follower.

Even though I am using a lot of self control to stay off the internet and work on DD's wedding stuff, I will say that I am pleased with the porn dialogue thus far...there are a lot of differing views, but thus far it has not resorted into "I am a MAN and I like boobs and you can't make me change, so shut up feminists/women!!!!!" bullshit that I experienced in other such threads where I've debated porn.

I'm a man and I like boobs, and I like talking and reading about boobs so don't shut up about cause even feminists have boobs.

Yeah, they've grown up quite a bit. I believe the first time I posted about it, I was told if I bought Kama Sutra and practiced some of what I read in it, then my husband wouldn't use porn. So yeah, I was a frigid, controlling bitch who was still in the grasp of the Morg when it came to opinions on porn. So I really have to feel it to get involved.

NOM is too touchy-feely for me nowadays, but it still does have its place for those who are just on their way out and do not like other people saying bad words like FUCK. Most find their way here eventually. Welcome!

LOL, it sounds like you've talked about the Kama Sutra offense enough times now that you've convinced yourself it is real. Don't you remember that you first complained about Kama Sutra in a discussion on rape? Your comment was seen as a thread jack and got moved to another thread. And in that thread someone challenged you to stop imagining shit, or at least point out where someone said you should purchase the Kama Sutra.

Did you actually tell someone to fuck off over on NOM or was that a figure of speech? I'd think you'd get banned from NOM for literally telling some asshole to fuck off.

Yeah, I literally said to fuck off and I would provide the link, but my friend is in a shitty situation right now and does not need anymore exposure. Right after I posted that, I asked to be removed from the board, but I guess they might have booted my ass had I not asked for it. I don't really care...too much callous chauvinism for my taste.

I don't know if this particular friend posts here, but I think some of my other friends who have left in the past year or so over similar things have posted and/or lurked on FLAK and found it to be more suited to them.

From my vantage point feminism is refreshing, and man-hating is juvenile. Was there more to your story than "I hate NOM, now I'm here?" It would be nice to hear how you let go of TSCC, if you get the chance to share, that would be great..
