It blows me away that people actually care about me.

Southern, I feel your sentiments about clutter. I too married a clutterer. I have found over the years that I can get rid of tons of stuff and he doesn't even remember we ever had the shit. After we helped move his folks into assisted living 15 years ago, and he saw what his mother had done to their house, he became more grateful to my de-cluttering ways. Tells everyone we know that if I weren't here he'd be a bona fide hoarder. But there's no way in hell I'm going to let that happen. And the sad part about cluttering folks is that there are so many poor souls out there who could purchase used clothing and survive, looking rather nice, but because of hoarders, most nice clothing and other stuff just gets hidden under piles. Such a waste.

I completely understand this. I simply don't believe people who say they care about me. I'm old enough that I can rationally talk my way through that, so that my behavior isn't egregious. But I still don't actually believe them.

I take anti-depressants and with some success. However, there are times when I feel the emptiness that takes away all feelings and emotion. I am aware of things going on around me but I experience only pain and I have no connection with people and things around me. Depression is a slow death.
I hve suicidal thoughts but I can't imagine acting on them, I think they're more of a stress relief. I see my Dr. every month and she monitors me closely. I feel no shame in taking the Rx, but much shame in having suicidal thoughts. It's disheartening to learn that depression is to be managed, not cured.
Also, I would like to get a pet cat, DW is not to hot on that. We had a pair of cats for about 20 years and she isn't ready to replace them. I do my best to work on her though. I go to cat rescue sites and tell her about the cute 3 legged cat that needs a home and no one wants him. Or the cat that was run over by a car, had 6 hours of surgery and is experiencing a long convalescence and needs a home. I hope we'll have a cat by Christmas.

((((cumom))))

I hope you have a cat (or three) by Christmas, too, CW. Thank you for wanting to give homeless animals a home.

CW, you hold tight. There are many resources th help not just manage depression but show a level of success. I devour comedy movies for days at a time. I started in the comedy section at hastings and watch 2 or 3 a day. It helps.

Uncomfortable admissions?

Regardless of whether or not others here are actually disliked, I truly am disliked by most everyone but I don't really care and that's not really an uncomfortable admission but . . . I guess it should be.

By most everyone here? Or by most everyone? There's a difference. Cause once I discovered how funny you were, I decided I liked you.

Yeah, I like this idea, I've heard about Cancer centers getting their patients into laughter therapy. I was thinking about this the other day. About a month ago I subscribed to a Facebook site called Americans Against the Tea Party. https://www.facebook.com/#!/NoTeaParty I should kill this link on my FB feed, it is making me miserable.

Seriously, I am so bummed out by half of the stuff I read, it can't be good for me. I keep telling myself to stop reading everything but I'm afraid I'll miss out on some critical story. Damn, how fucking critical is it? Is it worth bringing me down so bad that I'm walking around with a perpetual cloud over my head? Haaa! So I figured I should balance this mind-blowing-soul-sucking-teabagger-shit-fuck-piss-fucktard-business with laughter therapy. I have not started yet, it's AMC fear fest week and its been mostly horror films for me (which can actually be quite funny if the cheese factor is high enough, I'm sure most will agree). But I do watch Modern Family episodes over and over again, I can't get enough of those guys.

I guess my uncomfortable admission is that I must like to be miserable thinking about how fucked up teabaggers are, that is some seriously fucked up shit right there.

Comfortable admission, I just hid the damn link. Must not look at the train wreck.
I will rely on the rest of my liberal FB friends to bring me the really important stories.
