The local ward is pushing temple work and now we can expect a call from a church "Family History Consultant" . . .
I'll give anyone just one guess to the question "What is Floater's wife new calling?"
She came home Sunday afternoon and would not speak for hours. I knew something was wrong. Finally, she told me how the guy in charge of finding records of dead people in her stake is a total micro manager, an absolute control freak and he won't let her perform her calling the way her stake president told her she would be doing it.
Sorry, but I just can't make myself feel sorry for her. Over the years, I've made every type of effort to peacefully, quietly, and clearly show her facts that conclusively dispel any "truth" regarding the messages propagating from the cult.
Ironically, she was telling me yesterday (Monday) how sad she is for me because I'm not a happy person. I chuckled and reminded her about she feels about her calling, her job, our offspring - all life stories involving grief, pain and various degrees of misery. But, she's happy?
I don't see it. I just see another lemming eager to carry out the assignments from a higher lemming while constantly reminding herself that she's being blessed, that her life is actually much happier believing in falsehoods than if she accepted the truth.
I loathe so many of the messages spewed forth from that organization because my wife is still a victim and this affects me in a negative way every day.
I hope Romney gets the GOP nomination and then people will begin looking at his religious beliefs. It would be most delightful to have the facts about that organization in the spotlight. I would like to be the reporter asking "Is it true you believe that god actually commanded a thirty something year old man to marry a fourteen year old, two sixteen year olds and women who were already married?"
How could he possibly say no? How could any TBM's answer no?
And the seemingly endless questions could progress in their bizarre but fact-based nature until finally the entire world recognizes, once and for all, what a total scam the organization really is and hopefully even more members would use this as their opportunity to distance themselves from the mind-controlling tactics and then membership would swiftly decline to the point where one day a business would buy the SLC temple and turn it into a music venue and large pitchers of SweetWater Georgia Brown are served for only $5 while bands play the best of ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels and AC/DC and the only time someone uses the term LDS in SLC is when there is a long, dry summer which gives even more reason to step inside The Temple and have another cold one.
The first round's on me, okay everyone?
