Hi Golden,
What was your name over on TVFTF?
If you go over to The Meta-Foyer and read the thread Solistics' Dilemma that *might* help clear things up a little. Anyway, here's what the game plan is right now:

Here's what I've tentatively decided at the moment.
Keep the board "The Foyer", exactly as is, for the next week (until Sunday, September 10th). No name change, no nothing. What I'm hoping is that, like some posters have mentioned, the fuss will die down a bit, the fate of the Aimoo Foyer will be more clear, and this community will be more solidified.
At that point, if everyone's happy with "The Foyer" as is, we'll keep it.
If not, we'll then have a nice, democratic poll with all submissions (I can probably code up something quick that allows for people to vote on all the submissions easier than phpbb polls), and change the name. I do want the name to reflect the intended audience for this board--that is, NOMs and recently exited who want a place to vent, rant, and have discussions that are a little more heated than NOM. (Not post-post-Mormons who want to talk about things besides Mormonism or who are mostly or completely recovered. Those people are more than welcome, naturally, but I don't think they're the central focus of this board, and that should be reflected in a name that's more Mormonish than, say, Fuckernacle or Moabite is an Asshat ... not that there's anything wrong with either of those names! Wink)
Then, assuming all that happens, I'll give the board a month after the name change to see what kind of flavor it takes on. If, as some have suggested, it retains much of the old Foyer flavor and becomes pretty much the same community, just with a different name, I'll be happy, and hopefully so will everyone else, and life with continue with "The Great Kerfluffle" being a minor point in DAMU history.
If, however, the old Foyer flavor is lost (as some pessimistically foresee) and the board becomes something I'm not interested in handling any more, I'll pass the reins off to someone else more interested in whatever kind of community the board has become, and they, and all of you, can continue merrily along. In no case will this board be shut down.
Reader's digest version:
1) Keep the name for a week
2) If people are still pissy about the name, change it
3) If the community changes, those who are interested can take over
Does this make everybody (relatively) happy?
