Welcome Stu. I've seen you out and about on the DAMU but am not all that familiar with you or your story. Thanks for sharing. :)

Probably a little more verbose than what you were looking for. Sorry.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Stu. (Is "thank you" the right thing to say? Not sure, but at any rate, I appreciate it very much.) Touching and tragic, but at the same time it provides invaluable insight into your unique angle on things Mormon and makes me all the more interested in what you have to say (you know, when you're not cracking me up with your eggs-uberant wit).

One more time with feeling: I'm glad you're here.

I shall cling to it as strongly as gravid-y clings to me (ok... I might be stretching it a bit with that pun).

I had to look up "gravid" (honestly, who the hell uses this word?), but once I did, I LOL'ed so loudly Mrs. Egghead came upstairs to see what was so funny. (She didn't so much as smile, and this is precisely why it will only be a matter of time before she's referred to as the eggs-wife.)

groan...

K, no more egg crap from me - scout's honor.

Welcome Stu and Egghead! I think you will enjoy Flak. :)

After reading this thread, I now have this little ditty stuck in my head (from the commercial on the tube about eating eggs):

(sing along if you like....)

Uhmmmm:

:sing:

"The Incredible, Edible Egg"

Remember this?

I like this too

Welcome Stu and Egg and all the others who joined while I was on vacation. That story about the patriarchal blessing--ugh. What a mindfuck is Mormonism. So, you and Ol' Scratch were best buds, eh? When was that? The pre-eggsistence?

Hey glad you joined Steuss! Happy to see that jolly avatar again!

I love eggs and Egghead. He was one of my favorite Bat-villains. I also loved the campy King Tut. Oh and remember the non-glam-twin-brother-of-Liberace that was also a Bat-villain?

My husband is lactose intolerant, but he claims I'm a milk racist...

I will forever be jealous of you for your personal knowledge of Avedon (amongst other things upon my brobdignanian list that I've compiled of envious aspects of thee).

I never pegged you for an anti-lactite. It's about time you exposed a flaw...

I don't remember the Liberace one, but aside from Egghead (and Tut was cool too), I liked False Face. He wore those creepy transparent plastic masks, and in the cliffhanger episodes the credits wouldn't reveal the actor's name - just a question mark. All this was just way too awesome to my pre-adolescent mind.

Hello and thanks to everyone who's welcomed me.
