Thank you for sharing this with us, Stu. (Is "thank you" the right thing to say? Not sure, but at any rate, I appreciate it very much.) Touching and tragic, but at the same time it provides invaluable insight into your unique angle on things Mormon and makes me all the more interested in what you have to say (you know, when you're not cracking me up with your eggs-uberant wit).

I had to look up "gravid" (honestly, who the hell uses this word?), but once I did, I LOL'ed so loudly Mrs. Egghead came upstairs to see what was so funny. (She didn't so much as smile, and this is precisely why it will only be a matter of time before she's referred to as the eggs-wife.)

I love eggs and Egghead. He was one of my favorite Bat-villains. I also loved the campy King Tut. Oh and remember the non-glam-twin-brother-of-Liberace that was also a Bat-villain?

I will forever be jealous of you for your personal knowledge of Avedon (amongst other things upon my brobdignanian list that I've compiled of envious aspects of thee).

I don't remember the Liberace one, but aside from Egghead (and Tut was cool too), I liked False Face. He wore those creepy transparent plastic masks, and in the cliffhanger episodes the credits wouldn't reveal the actor's name - just a question mark. All this was just way too awesome to my pre-adolescent mind.
