This was just posted on RFM by a close friend of mine. -Chad

I can not reveal my source or my name… However, I will have Chad Spjut confirm my reliability.

Earlier this year, several days before his death, I disclosed the imminent death of Gordon Hinckley…through an inside source who was aware of his hospitalization and privy to the severity of his condition, I anonymously disclosed this information exclusively to the RFM community.

Now I have more breaking news regarding the Mormon Church’s strong arm tactics in getting wealthy Utah Church members to use dishonest tactics to donate large amounts of money in support of California’s Proposition 8.

Through what I consider an iron clad inside COB source, I have learned that members of the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles personally called wealthy Utah Mormon’s telling them it was their Priesthood duty to make large donation’s in support of Proposition 8. This in itself would be fine if done in full transparency. But the church chose to have these wealthy members hide the trail of both the motivation of their donations and the actual identity of the donors as well.

Using “shell” organizations, so as to hide the REAL source of the donation, these wealthy Mormon’s have donated millions to this cause. The motivation for hiding the real source of the donations was fear of a political back lash against these prominent business owners whose businesses would suffer greatly if their donations were made in a transparent manner.

Other business owner’s had their large donations made in the names of their wives or trusted employee’s…so as NOT to be held responsible for the potential backlash that would be inevitable should the full implications of the strong-arm tactics of the Mormon leaders come out in public. All of this done…so as to avoid full responsibility and transparency. The church is literally hiding behind the “skirts” of the wives of these prominent men.

On a personal editorial note: The back-room, hot cocoa filled political machine rooms of the COB need to be exposed. Their tactics disgust me. Where is their honor and morality? The Churches highest leaders strong armed their wealthy members to make these large donations but don’t have the balls to take the heat themselves? Well I call bullshit on this. These bastards need to be exposed.

He had to post this as anon, but you know this guy personally. We had lunch together at the Red Iguana when you were first making your way out of the Morg. Shoot him an email and get more info directly from him. -Chad

I'm sure this is getting old, but I love it,

\_/ This glass of surprise . . . it is empty.

You can justify a lot of dishonesty when you're sure the fate of the WORLD, even the children, is at stake.

Is there anything to prove this, besides an anon informant?

I ache for our fellow posters and brothers, Cumon, Working Father and others. Shame on Thomas Monson. Shame on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Its true colors of hatred and bigotry are now fully exposed for the world to see. This is the first and only time that I have ever wished that I was still a member. Then I coud send in my resignation all over again specifically because of the church's role in Prop 8's passage. I hope the negative fallout from the church's involvement with Prop 8 tarnishes the LDS church's reputation for years to come.

M.P.

Someone is hinting there may to tie in the inflated price paid for land in Maricopa Az. as a kick back for a donation. They could be on to something. The church has been known to get sweet deals on land from members also thru coercion, they are not known for paying inflated prices. Has anyone checked to see if Ira Fulton donated a large amount of money to prop 102 or 8? But does Shea homes have a member at the head? I know that Richmond homes was owned by a member.

I don't know about other folks outside Utah, but I have this interesting bit of news. Remember the surge in donations from places like Texas over the last two weeks or so? I just found out today that several members in my ward received personal phone calls from our Stake President asking them to donate whatever they could to support prop 8 in California. Interesting... Given the sudden surge in donations from North Texas, I can only assume it was part of a coordinated fund-raising campaign targeting LDS members in this area.

But I am sure the LDS Church had nothing to do with that, right? Just friends calling friends...

At least our stake president put his money where his mouth was, donating $1500 to the "cause." The Q12 and FP were just "do as I say and not as I do."

To all those fuckwits that voted for Prop 8/et al with their time, money, and conviction:

All this money and all this effort goes down the drain of false hope in a god you believe would have you "wash your garments of the blood of this generation".

Yes, hope. Not that you will win in the end because you know you will not be able to turn the tide of human will, but, hope that your god will not hold you personally accountable for the "sins" of your fellow citizens because you have done all that you can do.

Down the drain because there is no god -- at least none like the fuckin' stupid, hateful, anthropomorphic one that you believe will exalt you above others.

You people are throwing good money after bad in a war you cannot win for a hope that is false and unfortunately apologetic of your personal bigotry and hate.

I can't think of anything more pitiful.

They never had any. All they have is an unhealthy hunger for power, i.e., their own.

If I believed in hell, I'd wish Monson and his cronies there. The LDS church is a disgusting institution, and my fondest hope is that future generations will look at its dying, atrophied husk with much deserved revulsion.

You can bet that the 18,000+ same sex couples who've been disenfranchised because of the fucking Mormon cult and their Catholic pedophiliac brethren will be suing them and the State for damages.

Let the lawsuits begin.

Do we have names of any of the organizations used as shells so that we can trace the money?

Folks at Americablog are talkin' about boycotting Mormon businesses, or the whole flippin' State.

I'm being lazy and not bothering with BBCode... my apologies.
